KYLIE's Preschool graduation!!!

This past Thursday was Kylie's Preschool graduation! She has had such a good year and loved every minute of Preschool. She has made new friends and has really enjoyed her teachers-Mrs. Kruse and Mrs. Shullista!!! But all good things must come to an end and so did Kylie's Preschool year. Graduation was held at the Arboretum, a beautiful botanical garden, but it was a HOT day so we were all glad that the ceremony only lasted about half an hour!

Our Redeemer Preschool class of 2010!

Tri-State Chrisitan School High School graduates!

My first teaching job after College was as a 6th grade teacher at Tri-State Christian School in Galena, Illinois. It seems to me like it was recent but in reality it's been 6 years since the year I taught 6th grade and my students then, are now graduating HIGH SCHOOL. One parent said to me, "I am okay with it because I enjoyed every stage they were in." I hope to be that parent at my kids' graduation but I have a strange premonition that when this day will come for my own kids, I will be the parent that is sobbing wondering where did the time go and did I do right by my kids....Anyways, enough rambling, with no further due, here are some pictures from the HiGH SCHOOL GRADUATION of my darling 6th graders!

The Valadictorian- Bethany-- she will be attending Emmaus in the fall.

Two of my students, Becca and Jacob(no pic of Jacob) went to Galena High School and Kylie and I attended their graduation.

Mother's Day!

For Mother's Day we surprised Jill with a short visit home and spent the day with family!
Happy Mother's day mom!
Happy Mother's day Grandma/Great Grandma!

Okay, I am starting to think that facial expressions are hereditary because that expression that Jill is making in this picture is the exact same one that Colton often does...*amongst many others!
I don't have a picture to show this exact facial expression, but here are some others....

I know Mother's Day was a few weeks back but I am behind in blogosphere world, so hang in there with me. Tonight Brett and I are going to the TSCS graduation to see my first students (my 6th graders- as i call them) graduate high school. I am thinking the next post will be about them!

Field trip
Kylie and her preschool class took a field trip to the Pets' Hospital, where they learned about how veterinarians perform surgery on pets, clean their teeth, bathe them, etc.
