Go Fish Guys and Hula Hoops

The Go Fish Guys is a band that sings Christian kids music. Brayden and Kylie, along with all their church friends, went to see them in concert in Chicago as part of the Sunday School curriculum. Daddy was their chaperon, and judging from the picture and the stories they're telling, they had a grand ol' time!

Now, on to some more fun! Our friends, the Warrens, lended us their Wii for 1 months (Thanks you Warrens!!!) Brett and I have been enjoying all the games and the Wii Fit program. The kids played it a couple times and it's always so fun watching them.

Father's Day

Father's day weekend was fun filled! It has been so hot so we tried to keep cool but failed many times since most of the fun we had this weekend was outside.
We went camping with our church friends - meaning: we slept in a tent overnight with 3 kids, went swimming in a lake, fed horses, grilled, made s'mores, got rained on, told stories around the camp fire, and did other camp related stuff!
Brett took Monday off so the fun continued -- went to the strawberry patch where we filled our tummies and 2 baskets of strawberries. We later made jam and a strawberry pie! It was really hot so we didn't stay as long as we would have liked to.
In the afternoon, we went to see the new Disney animated movie "UP" in 3D. Colton stayed with our friends since we thought it might be too loud for him and we invited a couple of Kylie's and Brayden's friends to tag along. It was a good movie and it was great watching it in 3D.

3D fun!

While we were getting ready for camping we asked Brayden to pitch in by giving Colton some toys....and that he did!

Chalk the Block

The finished product -- brilliant design by Amy and Allie!!

Last Saturday morning we went on Main Street to "Chalk to Block". From 11th to 12th street the side walks on both sides of Main were divided into squares that artists reserved to show off their creativity and talent using nothing but side-walk chalk. GAC (our church) reserved a square for the youngest artists from our church family. We all went down to enjoy the fun!

There was a free drawing area reserved just for kids.

Week in review

Last week Kylie was at gma & gpa's for the week to attend 'Cricket Camp'. She had a blast playing in mud, slip-n-sliding and other fun camp activities.
Brett and I went on Friday afternoon to pick her up and pay a quick visit to our family! Grandma took us out for dinner and let's just say it was an adventure eating at a restaurant with 3 kids, 4 and under :). Later, after we put the kiddies down for the night, Brett and I went to the drive-in theater. We watched "17 Again" and "Angels and Demons" - let's just say it was a late night!!
On Saturday we stopped at Gma Dodie's and Gpa Bill's for lunch! It was great to spend time with them!

While we were down at gma & gpa's we found a really cute, huge bear. Since it was bigger than our own little bear I decided to snap some pics so I have proof later in life when he won't believe me that he was one day smaller than a teddy bear. ( i love it that the bear had the year 2008 on it's paw, that's the year he was born!)

On Sunday night we had family movie night ( i love it that the kids are getting old enough to do that!) We watched "Finding NEmo" and had popcorn, apples and grapes.

Colton is getting so good at sitting up!!! I just had to update you all on this because I am so proud of him and can't believe how big he's getting!

On Tuesday morning we had a fun play date. Many of our friends came to play with us.
Swinging friends - Mya Lev. and Kylie
The sand box was more like the mud box from all the rain we got the days before - they were good and dirty by the end of the play date!
