Angie's baby shower

Angie's shower was this weekend and Brett, Kylie and I flew to Michigan for it!
April, Katie, Lakkana, me and Amanda have been planning this shower for Angie (second from right) and we were really excited to get together and celebrate the upcoming birth of OLIVIA LARKEN WILBUR!!!

We left for Brett's parents on Thursday, dropped the boys off at grandma's and grandpa's, we borrowed Jim's plane (thanks Jim and Jeanne!) and flew to Grand Haven, Michigan on Friday.
The weather was perfect for flying so I snapped a few good pictures from the plane, here is one of the good ones!

We stayed at the reception hall after the shower on Saturday to have dinner together and play cards. It was fun!

But then....mommy caught me and said "No, no Colton. This is only for mommy and daddy" Ugh!

I pretended to walk away from it and then did a 180 and went back to the computer, but this time ...I went about it a different way!!

But then mommy saw my little hand sneaking from behind the computer, so she picked up the computer and said" Cooolttton....are you being sneaky?!?!

I laughed!

I'm laughing now but my eyes are still on that computer...I'll get to it eventually!

Magpie Party!!

At Simply Elegant Boutique in Galena one will find awesome accessories, and very,very cute clothes! I know this because I have shopped there before and also because I hosted a Magpie party at my house last night!

What is a Magpie party you may ask? Well...a Magpie party is when Robin(boutique owner)"brings her store" into your home. She decorates your living room with the latest in style accessories and sets up manechines to model the "in" clothes of the season for you and your friends!

So much is going on right now and I want to blog about every little detail but since time is of the essence, I am going to fill you in on a few events under this NEWSFEED post.
*While Brett and I were in Florida, our children were being spoiled by grandma and grandpa!! Here is grandpa with his 2 grandsons!

When Brett and I arrived at the Moline airport from our Florida trip, we were welcomed by our 3 children, grandma, grandpa, grandma Dodie, grandpa Bill and aunt Kate. Since we didn't have time to celebrate my citizenship before we left for Florida this was the perfect time to do so. It was so nice to see everyone and give my little ones lots of hugs and kisses!!!!
Colton didn't seem to have wondered too much about where we were while he was at grandma and grandpa's but when I saw him at the airport he was less than happy with me for being gone... he got over it after a little mad crying. He did learn to say"gwanpa" while he was with grandma and grandpa!

"Congratulations Mom!! You are our #1 citizen!" and they brought patriotic ballons and red roses! How sweet!!!

Thank you for celebration this huge event in my life!!!

* Well...there's not much that compares with that, but here's something that Brett and I did recently and enjoyed. Our friends, Mark and Sandy, took us out to dinner followed by an Airforce Band concert. We really enjoyed the dinner and loved the concert.

The gym, where the concert was held, was packed with veterans and other people that I am assuming have family in the military. At the end of the concert, they sang the Marine, Army, and Airforce songs....lots of veterans stood up and saluted! It just brought tears to my eyes thinking about the service that these men offered their country!

The snow in our yard is all melted and I am noticing my flowers perking up ready to welcome Spring.

Brett took the kids out to enjoy the warm weather and run some energy while chasing bubbles all over the driveway and front lawn--they had a b-l-a-s-t!!!

Kylie's preschool friend, and her little brother, were over for a short visit while their mom&dad were running some errands.

* Pirate and Princess movie night! Awana did something different this Thurs. since all the Emmaus students are on Spring Break. They rented one of the movie theathers in town and showed a Veggie Tale movie. Dressing up was encouraged and of course we couldn't miss the opportunity. Kylie and Brayden had a great time!

Coronado

Brett and I went to Orlando, Florida for a few days at the end of February!!! We stayed at the Disney Coronado resort, just like we did in 2007. Brett worked during the day at an Aviation Conference and hang out with me in the evenings! ;)
While Brett was at work, I worked out at the gym, swam in this warm pool or relaxed in the hot tub.

My goodness, i had an amazing time!! On one area of the Epcot Center they have shops from all over the world: *France, China, Morocco, Japan, Canada, England,Italy, and a couple others.

I told Brett I wish we had shops like these in Heaven, I would lOvE it!!!

Brett responded by saying that that would be Hell honey!! Ahaha...yes, it was not his favorite part of the trip, but all joking aside, he was ohh so patient during my shopping extravaganza....Thank you honey! :D

In between all the shopping and enjoying fireworks, we also landed a space shuttle to Mars and took a ride into our future with Spaceship Earth.

Our last night there we went Downtown Disney. We walked around for a bit during the day, had dinner at an Irish Pub and went to see Cirque du Soleil. I don't have any pictures because my camera was completely dead by that point.

February 23,2010 is the date that I became an American citizen. I have been living in the United States since December 23,1997 and this was a dream that I have had not only since I moved here, but since I was a little girl! It has been a long and not always easy road, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My life here has been an amazing testimony to God's faithfulness and provision!!!
Brett and I drove to DesMoines for my Naturalization interview that Tuesday morning. The interview was with one of the imigration officers and it was everything that I expected it to be. He asked me different questions about Brett and the kids, other questions ranging from where I went to school, to if I was ever affiliated with a communist or terrorist party *I wonder if anyone says "yes" to that last questions/yikes!!
After the questionaire, it was time for the history and Government test. He asked me 6 questions (for how many years do we elect a senator/how many justices are in the Supreme Court/if the President and VP are unable to be in command, who becomes president?... and some other similar questions that I don't remember right now)
The English test was EASY...had to read a sentence and write another sentence....fair enough!
Fourty-five minutes after the interview, was the Oath Ceremony, where I received my Naturalization Certificate!!! The ceremony was about 20 minutes and VOILA...I am an American citizen....wootwoot!!!

During the ceremony... The ceremony was for 8 people. 5 people were Asian not sure from what countries. 1 lady was from Bosnia, 1 guy from England and me/Romania.
